Description

  • We are looking for experienced system administrators to help us create and maintain a revolutionary service combining Web 2.0 and personalized genetics (www.MyFamilyHealth.com).
  • Our software development team is into agile development (especially eXtreme Programming) and open source software. We specialize in the Perl programming language and make extensive use of Linux, AJAX, Javascript, Flash/FLEX, Apache and MySQL. We offer an exciting and challenging career at the forefront of two revolutionary technological trends: personalized genomics and Web 2.0.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain redundant, scalable, robust infrastructure to support multi-tiered interactive web applications built on Linux, Apache and MySQL.
  • Communicate effectively in the design and planning process.

Required Experience

  • At least a Bachelors in Computer Science or other relevant subject, plus 2 years experience (new grads also welcome to apply).
  • Required language(s): English.
  • At least 2 years experience in live website operations engineering.
  • Web, application and database server hardware.
  • Load balancing and caching.
  • Storage systems.
  • Network security.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (OpenVZ) a plus.
  • Experience with high security environment a plus.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
